Role overview

This position focuses on making sure customers receive fast, accurate, and helpful service across different parts of the store and dispatch operation. The work can vary from day to day and may include shelf replenishment, till service, stock control, and picking orders for delivery. The key aim is to ensure customers get what they need efficiently and without delay.

The ideal person will bring a positive, can-do approach, a strong commitment to customer care, and a willingness to go beyond the basic requirements to support shoppers well.

Key duties

• Select and prepare goods accurately for dispatch using a handheld terminal, and report any stock differences to the manager.
• Inspect items for quality, shelf life, and secure packaging before they are sent out for delivery.
• Process deliveries efficiently while maintaining a consistently high level of customer service and working to target.
• Communicate politely with delivery drivers and handle questions or complaints in a professional manner, escalating more complex issues to the appropriate person.

• Strong customer service motivation and a readiness to do extra when supporting customers.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a presentable appearance at all times.
