Role Overview

We are seeking a Marketing and Social Media Intern to join our Marketing team. This role centers on crafting engaging content, managing social channels, and fostering community interaction. Additionally, you will support the broader Marketing team, gaining hands-on experience across various marketing activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, shoot, edit, and share short-form video content such as posts, reels, and TikToks on Perlego's social media profiles.
• Manage daily social media activities including creating posting schedules, writing captions, and maintaining platform upkeep.
• Act as an on-camera and on-mic spokesperson, confidently leading content segments.
• Humanize Perlego’s brand by highlighting our team, culture, and personality beyond just the product.
• Generate creative content ideas, quickly identify and embrace relevant trends, sounds, and formats, adapting them to fit Perlego’s brand voice.
• Expand organic reach and cultivate an authentic, engaged community by responding warmly to comments and direct messages.
• Assist the wider Marketing team with responsibilities involving conferences, trade shows, events, email marketing, and other tasks.

Candidate Requirements

• Comfortable and confident presenting on camera and microphone with an engaging natural presence.
• Keen awareness of social media trends and platform cultures, with the agility to adapt them to Perlego’s tone.
• A strong creative sense and understanding of what makes compelling video content.
• Natural ability to build communities and foster warm connections with audiences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of crafting captions and short-form copy as well as delivering content verbally in Perlego’s voice.
• Proactive, well-organized, and enthusiastic about contributing ideas and seeing projects through to completion.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay set at £14.80 per hour, aligned with the London Living Wage.
