Job description
About the Role
The position entails steering Continuing Education & Training (CET) efforts within the School of Computing, aimed at promoting lifelong learning, workforce skill upgrading, and fostering collaboration with industry partners. This leadership role demands a blend of strong educational insights, deep industry familiarity, and a passion for enabling continuing education. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage CET functions in the School of Computing, encompassing planning, operational execution, and achieving CET targets.
- Champion the design, launch, and iterative enhancement of market-responsive CET offerings such as part-time diplomas, specialist diplomas, Work-Study Programs, SCTP, short courses, and modular training.
- Develop strong ties with industry through outreach, manage key accounts, identify collaborative opportunities, and nurture relationships with partners.
- Contribute to broader school initiatives including alumni partnerships, industry collaborations, staff development, and expansion of computing-related CET areas.
Candidate Profile
- At least five years’ experience in continuing education, adult learning, program management, industry engagement, or academic administration.
- Demonstrated capability in project leadership, cross-functional coordination, stakeholder communication, and timely delivery.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, with an ability to collaborate effectively across teams and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with IT and digital transformation disciplines such as AI, data analytics, software engineering, cloud computing, cybersecurity, automation, or low-code platforms is advantageous.
- Capability to develop curriculum and content in emerging artificial intelligence fields is preferred.
- Educational background in Computing, IT, Education, Business, or related areas; postgraduate qualifications or adult education certifications are favorable.
Additional Information
The position is offered initially on a two-year contract basis. Applicants can expect a response within 30 days after the closing date.
