Overview
An established specialist supplier in the global entertainment and live events industry is seeking a proactive People & Culture Advisor to join their expanding HR team based in Park Royal/Acton, West London. This hybrid role requires three days in the office and two days remote work after a six-month probation period. The successful candidate will be involved in the entire employee lifecycle, providing HR support and fostering a positive and collaborative workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for HR queries, advising and coaching managers and employees on diverse people-related issues.
- Manage employee relations cases from initiation to resolution, such as disciplinary actions, grievance handling, absence management, performance and capability issues, and flexible working arrangements, ensuring consistent and equitable processes.
- Support all stages of the employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, probation monitoring, employee development, benefits management, and offboarding.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to facilitate recruitment operations, including preparing offers and contracts, conducting pre-employment checks, and ensuring a smooth onboarding experience.
- Review and enhance HR policies, procedures, and workflows to maintain compliance with legal standards and promote operational excellence.
- Maintain precise employee records and HR databases, generate reports, and analyze workforce data to uncover patterns aiding strategic decision-making.
- Assist payroll processes by providing accurate employee information and coordinating with Finance teams to meet deadlines.
- Support learning and development programs through training coordination, record maintenance, and delivering presentations or workshops when necessary.
- Contribute to employee engagement, wellbeing and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging & Accessibility (DEIBA) initiatives to nurture an inclusive and collaborative workplace environment.
- Actively participate in People & Culture projects, system enhancements, and change management efforts, bringing forward continuous improvement ideas.
Required Experience and Qualifications
- Possess or be in the process of obtaining a CIPD Level 5 qualification.
- Have 3 to 4 years of experience as a generalist HR Advisor.
- Demonstrate strong expertise in managing employee relations independently.
- Possess solid knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practices.
- Excel in communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Employ a proactive and organized approach with high attention to detail.
- Experience managing the full employee lifecycle within a dynamic environment.
- Experience with creative, production, logistics, media, or family-owned companies is advantageous but not mandatory.
