Hotel Maintenance Officer

Role overview

Focus-Point Ltd is hiring on behalf of a high-end hotel in Kigali for a hands-on Hotel Maintenance Officer who can keep the property’s facilities and equipment in reliable working order.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned upkeep as well as repairs when faults occur across hotel assets and equipment.
• Handle maintenance calls quickly and ensure issues are addressed without unnecessary delay.
• Take care of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
• Inspect the property regularly and help maintain compliance with health and safety requirements.
• Document maintenance activity accurately and liaise with outside contractors when support is needed.

Requirements

• A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Building Services, Facilities Management, or a closely related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in maintenance work within a hotel or commercial building environment.
• Practical understanding of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repair work.
• Strong problem-solving ability, clear communication, and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
