Role overview
Focus-Point Ltd is hiring on behalf of a high-end hotel in Kigali for a hands-on Hotel Maintenance Officer who can keep the property’s facilities and equipment in reliable working order.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out planned upkeep as well as repairs when faults occur across hotel assets and equipment.
- Handle maintenance calls quickly and ensure issues are addressed without unnecessary delay.
- Take care of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
- Inspect the property regularly and help maintain compliance with health and safety requirements.
- Document maintenance activity accurately and liaise with outside contractors when support is needed.
Requirements
- A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Building Services, Facilities Management, or a closely related discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience in maintenance work within a hotel or commercial building environment.
- Practical understanding of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repair work.
- Strong problem-solving ability, clear communication, and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
