Role Summary
As a Demi Chef de Partie, you will play a pivotal role in the kitchen, crafting delicious dishes that delight guests and encourage repeat visits. Your culinary skills will enhance the overall dining experience from starters to main courses.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the food service process to ensure smooth operation and high efficiency.
- Maintain effective communication with Head Chef, Sous Chef, and Chef de Parties ensuring cohesive food and beverage service.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to meet food preparation and service demands promptly.
- Ensure all dishes meet established recipes and quality standards.
- Prepare and cook orders promptly, maintaining a sense of urgency.
- Keep workstations, equipment, and sections clean and comply with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor daily kitchen inventory and advise leadership on upcoming requirements.
- Manage food preparation costs and minimize wastage by adhering to standard recipes and efficient methods.
- Fulfill other reasonable duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications and Attributes
- Strong passion and enthusiasm for food preparation.
- Previous experience in a comparable kitchen role.
- Availability to work seven days a week on a rotating schedule.
- Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
- Experience with a la carte menu preparation.
- Able to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Capability to deliver quality dishes across all dining outlets.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing guest needs.
- Must hold New Zealand residency or a permanent NZ work visa; sponsorship or immigration assistance is not offered.
