Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a Construction Planner to become an integral member of our client's office team in Maidstone, KwaZulu-Natal. This role supports the Construction Department and collaborates closely with other departments such as Development, Technical, Finance, and Commercial throughout all stages of project execution. The role may involve managing one or multiple projects as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of a comprehensive planning system for use by the Construction Department and across the business.
- Support the creation and adjustment of construction and pre-construction schedules.
- Assist in devising and modifying construction logistics plans, visual time slices, and tender presentations from a planning viewpoint.
- Contribute to the generation of 3D models to aid project visualization.
- Help prepare Construction and Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs).
- Generate progress reporting schedules using Excel.
- Maintain and update monthly progress reports on ongoing projects.
- Organize and manage programme issuance records and ensure accurate filing and distribution of updated programmes and logistical information.
- Gather and analyze site feedback to enhance programme accuracy and performance.
- Conduct site visits to deepen understanding of construction methods, building standards, and verify reported progress.
