Key Responsibilities

• Coach and train team members and barista trainees on beverage preparation and standards.
• Coordinate training plans and conduct coffee team briefs, attending relevant meetings or courses when necessary.
• Ensure all hot drink training resources are current and accessible.
• Adhere strictly to dress codes and maintain a professional appearance with the correct uniform.
• Engage positively with customers and colleagues to communicate the brand’s coffee story and menu.
• Efficiently manage the queue and serve barista drinks promptly.
• Maintain consistent and clear communication when taking orders.
• Deliver impressive latte art to enhance customer experience.
• Prepare all barista drinks following company standards and demonstrate comprehensive coffee knowledge.
• Regularly assess milk and coffee quality through tasting and measurement procedures.
• Address any ingredient quality concerns with management promptly.
• Maintain and clean the barista equipment and drink counters from the customers’ perspective.
• Conduct daily and weekly equipment checks, including calibrations and hygiene tests.
• Uphold health, safety, and food safety standards according to company policy and legal requirements.
• Manage waste control effectively and report any stock discrepancies related to ingredients.
• Monitor and meet weekly sales targets, ensuring adequate stock levels and utilizing promotions to engage customers.

Additional Information

Baristas are accountable for following food safety and health & safety protocols at all times and must immediately report any deviations or concerns to management. They also support shop profitability through careful waste and stock management.
