Baggage Systems Integration Lead (BHS-IT)

Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Baggage Systems Integration Lead specializing in BHS-IT to manage and lead critical baggage handling system integration activities within an airport operations context. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in integrating and managing the interface between IT and OT systems focused on baggage handling.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the integration of BHS-IT components including reconciliation, tracking, early-bag storage solutions, and message brokering.
• Take responsibility for the interface management between IT and OT systems at the IT/OT Bridge, collaborating closely with the OT team.
• Implement compliance with IATA Resolution 753 concerning custody handover along with BIX and Type B messaging protocols.
• Integrate baggage sorting plan interfaces with the Airport Operational Database (AODB) to ensure seamless data flow.

Experience and Expertise Required

• Minimum of seven years’ professional experience in baggage systems IT integration.
• Proficient knowledge of IATA Resolution 753 and expertise with baggage messaging standards such as BIX and Type B.
• Practical experience managing the integration boundary between BHS IT and Operational Technology (OT) systems.
• Proven track record in delivering baggage handling system projects within airport environments.
