Role Summary

This full-time position based in Kolkata involves managing weighbridge operations for Jsw Cement Ltd's Salboni plant. The operator is responsible for accurately weighing all incoming and outgoing vehicles, recording load information, and verifying that documentation is complete and precise. Daily duties include confirming transport and cargo paperwork, inputting data into weighbridge software, maintaining logs for reporting, and coordinating with dispatch, logistics, and security teams.

The role also demands ensuring adherence to safety protocols, monitoring vehicle flow to avert errors, and assisting inventory control via accurate weight documentation. Keeping the workspace tidy, promptly reporting problems, and following company policies and procedures are expected.

Qualifications and Skills

• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with data entry or weighbridge software systems.
• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail in record management.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with drivers, logistics personnel, and plant staff.
• Knowledge of fundamental safety measures in industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Reliability for shift work, punctuality, and ability to function in a dynamic operational context.
• Previous experience as a weighbridge operator, logistics clerk, or within cement, mining, or related sectors is advantageous.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical training in logistics or industrial operations is a plus.
