Role Summary
As a valued member of the warehouse team, you will manage and execute timely loading, unloading, and delivery of orders while maintaining cleanliness and accurate inventory within the warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently load and unload items to meet delivery schedules and customer commitments.
- Deliver goods to customer sites, construction areas, other branches, or warehouses following the designated or most efficient route.
- Receive and verify incoming shipments for accuracy.
- Organize and store products correctly in the warehouse promptly.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders along with the related shipment documentation.
- Coordinate with freight companies and customers regarding shipment priorities.
- Transport materials to and from various local locations and customer sites.
- Secure appropriate shipping documentation for assigned delivery routes.
- Load merchandise onto trucks, ensuring adherence to delivery timelines.
- Secure cargo to prevent damage during transit.
- Unload deliveries according to each destination's regulations.
- Obtain customer signatures confirming delivery receipt.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and enforce safety protocols.
- Provide backup support to the Counter Sales team by offering product knowledge and customer assistance professionally.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment.
- Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Dependable, reliable, and proactive work approach.
- Valid G driver's license with a clean driving record (no traffic violations, points, or at-fault accidents in the past three years).
- Capability to regularly lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Forklift certification or the ability to obtain it.
- WHMIS and TDG certifications are advantageous.
- Familiarity with plumbing and HVAC industry products is considered a plus.
Compensation
Salary ranges between $48,000 and $50,000 annually plus a 4% profit-sharing plan.
