Key Responsibilities
- Acquire knowledge of utility locating practices, safety procedures, and equipment operation.
- Gain familiarity with local utility infrastructures and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with experienced locators to precisely mark underground utility lines.
- Utilize utility locating devices and tools effectively.
- Record and document findings through digital mapping technology.
- Perform duties in various weather conditions, often working independently in remote areas.
Candidate Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Eligible to work in the United States for this employer.
- Have a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Possess a valid state driver's license (non-provisional) accompanied by a clean motor vehicle record.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Frequently required to work alone in isolated locations with physical activities including raising arms above shoulder level, operating vehicles, bending, stooping, standing, walking, and lifting up to 55 pounds.
- Occasionally needs to use ladders, climb stairs, and work in confined spaces.
