You will be trained on safety protocols, learn utility locating techniques, and operate specialized equipment to identify underground utility lines. Key Responsibilities

  • Acquire knowledge of utility locating practices, safety procedures, and equipment operation.
  • Gain familiarity with local utility infrastructures and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with experienced locators to precisely mark underground utility lines.
  • Utilize utility locating devices and tools effectively.
  • Record and document findings through digital mapping technology.
  • Perform duties in various weather conditions, often working independently in remote areas.

Candidate Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Eligible to work in the United States for this employer.
  • Have a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Possess a valid state driver's license (non-provisional) accompanied by a clean motor vehicle record.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

  • Frequently required to work alone in isolated locations with physical activities including raising arms above shoulder level, operating vehicles, bending, stooping, standing, walking, and lifting up to 55 pounds.
  • Occasionally needs to use ladders, climb stairs, and work in confined spaces.
