About the Position
EPG Group, a leading global workforce solutions provider, is partnering with a Fortune 500 company known for operational excellence and heritage to hire a Temporary Supply Sourcing Manager. This role is contract-based for 6 months with a hybrid work setup based in Manhattan, New York City. The position requires full-time dedication of 40 hours per week, starting immediately.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee product development and commercialization for specified product categories during pre-season.
- Create strategic style allocation plans aligning with vendor strategies to optimize quality and cost.
- Lead product engineering efforts aimed at achieving cost targets without compromising design.
- Coordinate closely with Design and Raw Materials teams throughout product development to ensure consistency.
- Analyze and verify product costing while pinpointing opportunities for cost reduction.
- Work daily with vendors, offshore teams, and factories to expedite sample production and development.
- Track development schedules, assess risks, and proactively communicate any potential impacts on business timelines.
- Facilitate seasonal product reviews, line finalization, and vendor meetings.
- Support onboarding processes for new vendors and contribute to enhancing vendor capabilities.
- Collaborate with Technical Design, Quality Assurance, Merchandising, and Raw Materials departments to ensure successful project execution.
- Lead sourcing projects, drive vendor performance improvements, and implement continuous process enhancements.
- Maintain detailed reports, KPIs, and product tracking using Excel and internal systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant area.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in sourcing, product development, apparel manufacturing, or related field.
- Comprehensive knowledge of garment construction, apparel costing, and development processes.
- Proven collaboration experience with development teams, production staff, vendors, and factories.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and complex formulas.
- Strong analytical skills, organizational ability, and clear communication capability.
- Capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in the apparel, textile, or manufacturing industry considered highly advantageous.
