Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and executing purchasing for ingredients, beverages, and restaurant supplies to ensure smooth operations.
  • Accurately place orders on schedule, confirm deliveries, and follow up on any delays or inconsistencies.
  • Collaborate with Accounts Payable to resolve purchase order and invoice discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain detailed records of purchases, vendor interactions, and pricing trends to support sourcing decisions and reporting.
  • Keep track of market trends, vendor promotions, and product availability to advise senior leadership on opportunities.
  • Monitor inventory levels across assigned categories, anticipating stock shortages or overstock situations.
  • Participate in monthly inventory counts with store and kitchen teams to ensure accurate data alignment.
  • Support reconciliation efforts by addressing discrepancies between physical and system inventories.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy in line with company targets and avoid unplanned stockouts.
  • Ensure adherence to recipe standards and food quality during receiving, reporting any deviations.
  • Facilitate vendor communication, engage in pricing talks, and help resolve service issues to meet sourcing goals.

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree, or relevant equivalent experience in supply chain, purchasing, business, or hospitality operations.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in purchasing, supply management, or inventory control within restaurants, hospitality, food service, or food distribution sectors.
  • Proven ability to support procurement activities, coordinate with vendors, analyze data, and communicate effectively across teams.
  • Familiarity with inventory monitoring and reconciliation procedures.
  • Proficient Excel skills; experience with ERP, inventory management, and POS software.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States (Form I-9 required).
  • Physical ability to stand and walk for extended durations and lift weights up to 50 pounds.
