Spa & Leisure Cleaner

Overview

The Grace Westport Estate, a new luxury hotel opening in Spring 2026 along Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way in Westport, County Mayo, is seeking a dedicated Spa & Leisure Cleaner. This full-time role focuses on maintaining exceptional cleanliness, presentation, and guest service standards in the spa, pool, and leisure facilities consistent with the hotel's premium brand.

Key Duties

• Ensure all spa and leisure areas such as poolside zones, changing rooms, treatment hallways, and relaxation lounges are clean and well-presented at all times.
• Carry out routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, sanitizing surfaces, vacuuming, and restocking towels, robes, and amenities.
• Perform thorough deep-cleaning for treatment rooms, saunas, steam rooms, showers, pool tiles, and lockers in line with hygiene and safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate cleaning logs to confirm that tasks meet The Grace's quality benchmarks.
• Keep towels, robes, and amenities fully replenished, neatly arranged, and in pristine condition.
• Welcome guests warmly, assist professionally, provide directions, and ensure their experience is comfortable.
• Aid the spa and leisure teams with preparation and setup of treatment rooms, gyms, pools, and other guest zones.
• Oversee pool and leisure areas to safeguard guest safety and compliance with facility rules.
• Promptly report any maintenance, safety, or sanitation concerns to the Spa Supervisor or Manager.
• Help with daily opening and closing procedures to prepare or secure all facilities.
• Conduct and document daily water quality testing for pools, jacuzzis, and other aquatic areas adhering to health and safety standards.
• Foster a serene, inviting, and professional ambiance throughout the spa and leisure spaces.

Experience and Skills Required

• Meticulous attention to detail with a commitment to upholding high standards of hygiene, presentation, and safety.
• Comfortable and capable performing cleaning duties, maintenance tasks, and water testing processes.
• Strong communication abilities and excellent guest interaction skills.
• Dependable, proactive, and able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Availability to work various shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Valid eligibility to work in Ireland.
