Job description
About the Role
We seek an advanced SEO specialist proficient not only with conventional search engines like Google but also experienced in optimizing for AI-driven assistant platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity. This role involves owning and executing the search visibility strategies across traditional and emerging generative AI search platforms for our diverse client portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive SEO plans for client websites encompassing keyword research, on-page SEO, technical auditing, and identifying content gaps.
- Enhance client content and structured data to improve visibility on Answer Engines, including featured snippets, voice search results, and direct answer features.
- Construct and execute Generative Engine Optimization strategies tailored to augment brand appearances within AI-generated responses on platforms like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity.
- Perform regular technical SEO audits focusing on site speed, crawlability, indexing, and schema markup and collaborate with client teams to address identified issues.
- Monitor and analyze ranking performance, AI-driven visibility metrics, and organic traffic, converting insights into transparent client reports and actionable recommendations.
- Keep abreast of ongoing updates in search engine algorithms and the rapidly evolving AI search landscape.
Candidate Profile
- Foundational SEO experience combined with an eagerness to advance into client strategy management roles.
- Practical understanding of AEO and GEO methodologies including structured data use, entity optimization, and content structuring optimized for AI retrieval.
- Competency with key SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, and Screaming Frog.
- Strong analytical capabilities paired with skills in communicating performance data effectively to clients.
- Exceptional written communication skills suited for creating clear client reports and strategy recommendations.
- Agency experience handling multiple client accounts is appreciated but not mandatory.
