About the Role

Join Moody's, a global pioneer in risk assessment and credit ratings, committed to fostering an inclusive culture where innovative thinking thrives. As the Senior Vice President leading the Ratings & Research Franchise in Saudi Arabia, you will play a crucial role in strengthening Moody’s analytical presence and market influence in the region through authoritative credit analysis, stakeholder engagement, and strategic research development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the senior analytical representative for Moody’s Ratings & Research in Saudi Arabia, confidently addressing credit, research, and rating topics.
  • Advance Moody's Ratings’ analytical franchise by shaping strategic direction, enhancing market visibility, and nurturing stakeholder trust in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Cooperation Council.
  • Develop and maintain high-level relationships with public and private sector stakeholders including governments, regulators, financial institutions, and investors.
  • Collaborate with lead analysts to ensure consistent application of Moody’s credit standards, methodologies, and rating procedures.
  • Engage in rating committees and issuer meetings, offering deep regional insights while adhering to governance and analytical frameworks.
  • Spot thematic credit trends across sectors, fostering cross-sector insights that inform both regional and global discussions.
  • Lead the research agenda focusing on Saudi Arabia and Gulf Cooperation Council credit topics by producing or overseeing impactful thematic analyses.
  • Collect and disseminate regional market intelligence covering policy, economic initiatives, funding patterns, and credit dynamics.
  • Coordinate with teams located in Dubai and Saudi Arabia to drive regional projects, outreach, and analytical focus areas.
  • Represent Moody’s Ratings’ methodologies and credit views with professionalism and clarity in external engagements.
  • Participate in internal platforms discussing emerging credit themes and regional developments with a particular focus on Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Cooperation Council.
  • Operate with substantial autonomy under the Managing Director’s oversight, influencing senior analytical perspectives without direct portfolio management.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven expertise in credit analysis, ratings, or related analytical roles with deep knowledge of rating methodologies, governance protocols, and analytical standards.
  • Established analytical credibility and ability to engage confidently with senior internal and external stakeholders on complex credit matters.
  • Comprehensive understanding of credit environments within Saudi Arabia, the Gulf Cooperation Council, and emerging markets, including economic, financial, and policy trends.
  • Ability to synthesize cross-sector credit themes and regional developments into actionable analytical insights.
  • Strong leadership skills demonstrated by successful influence in matrixed organizations without direct authority.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities contributing to high-caliber research and thematic output.
  • Fluency in Arabic essential for effective senior stakeholder engagement and representing Moody’s in the local market.
  • Familiarity with artificial intelligence concepts and enthusiasm for applying AI tools to improve analytical processes and efficiency.
  • Keen interest in responsible AI practices including ethical use and risk management.
  • Advanced degrees in Finance, Economics, or related fields required; additional qualifications such as an advanced degree or CFA are preferred.

About the Team

The Corporate Finance Group at Moody’s Ratings offers independent credit analysis and research on corporate issuers globally and regionally. This senior role will contribute significantly to expanding Moody's Ratings analytical footprint in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Cooperation Council and help propel Moody's AI-driven analytical innovations.
