About the Role
As a Project Manager at GP Joule EPC Ireland Ltd., you will play a critical part in advancing renewable energy by managing large-scale solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System projects. Located in Leixlip, County Kildare, Ireland, this position offers a dynamic, hands-on opportunity within a growing team that blends local responsiveness with international expertise from GP Joule Group in Germany. The role involves overseeing projects from tender through to client handover, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and quality delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all stages of the project life cycle including contract award, planning, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover to guarantee seamless project execution.
- Act as the primary liaison coordinating communication between clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams in procurement and engineering.
- Manage contracts meticulously covering modifications, claims, and compliance to uphold project integrity and requirements.
- Supervise external partners ensuring that deliverables are provided on schedule and meet project objectives.
- Maintain strict control over project timelines, budgets, and quality, closely monitoring costs and cash flows to ensure financial stability.
- Compile and deliver regular progress reports to the Country Manager and senior leadership, summarizing project status and milestones.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or a similar field, plus experience as a Cost Engineer or Quantity Surveyor; familiarity with CESSIM or equivalent is advantageous.
- Minimum three years of professional experience managing major infrastructure projects, particularly in renewable energy (Solar PV, wind) or civil engineering sectors.
- Thorough understanding of contract management principles and exposure to standard contract forms such as FIDIC, alongside knowledge of project management methodologies like PMBOK, PRINCE2, or Agile.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with proven ability to manage stakeholders effectively to drive successful outcomes.
- Competence with project management software including MS Project, Primavera, or Asana, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Proven problem-solving capabilities demonstrating structured thinking, flexibility, self-motivation, and adaptability within a fast-paced, start-up style environment.
