Role Overview
We are seeking a Planner Scheduler to bridge the gap between our asset strategy and maintenance execution. This role involves designing and managing maintenance schedules that ensure optimal allocation of personnel, parts, and equipment for both preventive and corrective tasks. Close cooperation with the Asset Management team is essential to uphold accurate maintenance documentation and secure the dependable performance of assets.
Key Duties
- Formulate, organize, and oversee maintenance activities aligning with established plans and scopes.
- Ensure corrective maintenance tasks are scheduled and executed within legal and contractually specified timeframes.
- Rank maintenance work by evaluating asset criticality, condition, and operational needs.
- Develop comprehensive work plans encompassing labor, materials, tools, and equipment requirements.
- Manage and reduce maintenance backlog while maximizing scheduling efficiency.
- Effectively communicate maintenance timelines and updates with stakeholders.
- Generate comprehensive reports on maintenance performance, compliance, and asset status.
- Support the organization’s predictive and preventive maintenance strategies.
- Coordinate contractor activities and oversee procure-to-pay processes.
- Identify and apply continuous improvement practices.
- Maintain accuracy of data and reporting within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Comply with health, safety, environmental, and statutory regulations throughout maintenance processes.
- Handle administrative responsibilities related to maintenance operations as needed.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum five years of experience in a Planner/Scheduler role.
- Background in facilities maintenance or similar environments involving substantial asset management.
- Proficient understanding of Asset Lifecycle Management adhering to ISO 55000 standards.
- Solid experience utilizing CMMS and advanced Microsoft Office capabilities, particularly Excel.
- Strong organizational, planning, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Capable of managing multiple priorities and performing effectively under pressure.
- A mindset geared towards continuous improvement with knowledge of Lean methodologies.
- Trade or tertiary qualifications in technical disciplines are preferred.
- Project management experience is an advantage.

The position involves full-time hours Monday through Friday based in Brisbane, Queensland, with remote work options available.
