Your aim will be to maintain a secure, comfortable, and supportive environment for students, ensuring they feel safe and welcomed throughout the night.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be the friendly initial point of contact for students seeking assistance or reassurance overnight.
  • Conduct safety patrols and respond calmly to incidents such as fire alarms, noise disturbances, or maintenance issues.
  • Foster a welcoming, respectful atmosphere treating everyone with professionalism and empathy.
  • Coordinate with day and night teams to ensure smooth shift handovers and continuity of service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of communal spaces.
  • Support students’ wellbeing by recognizing concerns and taking appropriate action.
  • Represent the brand by embodying the CARE values: Connect, Act, Respect, and Encourage.

Candidate Profile

A strong mindset is valued more than a traditional background. Key qualities include eagerness to learn, problem-solving ability, and a dedication to supporting students. Experience in customer service or residential settings is beneficial but not essential; the ability to connect and foster a safe environment is paramount.

Employee Benefits

  • Competitive salary of £32,050 plus bonus and additional benefits.
  • Performance-related bonus paid biannually.
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, with options to buy extra days and earn more with long service.
  • Generous pension scheme with contributions ranging from 4% to 11% based on savings.
  • Life assurance cover equivalent to four times your salary.
  • Access to discounted share purchase schemes.
  • Enhanced family leave policies, including 18 weeks full pay for birthing parents and 4 weeks for non-birthing parents.
  • Health Cash Plan allowing reimbursement for routine medical expenses like dental and optical care.
  • Employee Assistance Programme offering support when needed.
  • One paid volunteering day annually.
  • Discounted retail and hospitality services via an online platform.
  • Additional family support through 20% discount on student rents for dependents.
  • Access to comprehensive training and career development resources.
