Role Overview & Responsibilities

• Gain a comprehensive understanding of vital statistics and industry-specific matters related to the entity before engagement startup, including review of previous financial statements and audit documentation.
• Effectively manage allocation of duties between engagement team members, experts, and specialists, including timelines and contribution alignment with audit goals.
• Liaise with management and specialists to ensure timely and accurate delivery of critical project milestones.
• Monitor the progress of ongoing work, facilitating follow-ups on tasks assigned to team members.
• Utilize relevant guidance, tools, and aids to embody professional skepticism throughout audit procedures, evidence evaluation, and conclusions.
• Take responsibility for completing thorough reviews and approvals of work including checklists and tailored audit questions, ensuring adherence to standards and timely sign-off.
• Assist in developing detailed project plans leveraging prior audit experience to prioritize significant audit areas early and anticipate contingency strategies where client deadlines may be at risk.
• Prepare and review audit documentation thoroughly, addressing not only conclusions but also supporting facts, analyses, and authoritative references.
• Promote a culture of healthy professional skepticism and inquisitiveness within the team by identifying critical audit questions.
• Ensure documentation of objectivity, independence, and continuity considerations through comprehensive inquiries and data capture.
• Evaluate and confirm that team members have sufficient technical and industry knowledge, provide targeted briefings as necessary.
• Leverage artificial intelligence technologies to improve audit quality and efficiency, applying best practices for prompt engineering and problem-solving.
• Apply professional skepticism to AI-generated outputs, validating their accuracy and aptness before integrating into audit records.
• Understand and uphold responsible AI usage policies and governance, ensuring confidentiality, data integrity, and compliance with approved AI tools within professional services.

Qualifications

• Minimum seven years of auditing experience predominantly within leading professional services firms or significant multinational corporations.
• Expertise and background in the insurance industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a closely related discipline.
• Proven track record of managing audit engagements successfully.
• Proficient in English language for reading, writing, and speaking; Arabic proficiency is advantageous.
• Professional certification such as CPA, SOCPA, or an equivalent designation.
