Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Store Person to support a large construction initiative in Newbridge, County Kildare. This role involves managing electrical material receipt, documentation, stock monitoring, and coordination with site teams and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations, organisation, and security of on-site stores.
  • Inspect, receive, and properly document deliveries, ensuring accuracy of Goods Received Notes.
  • Conduct regular stock inventories to maintain sufficient stock levels and ensure accurate inventory control.
  • Distribute materials to site teams and coordinate supply call-offs with approved vendors.
  • Adhere to proper procedures regarding material receipt, storage, preservation, and distribution.
  • Collaborate with site management, procurement, and suppliers to address delivery issues and material needs.
  • Manage surplus, return, and scrap materials including removal and disposal.
  • Maintain compliance with company protocols, health and safety regulations, and efficient delivery procedures.
  • Work together with site teams to enhance productivity, safety, quality, and workflow processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum three years experience as a Storeperson or Materials Controller within electrical, mechanical & electrical, construction, or engineering environments.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical components and stock management.
  • Proficient with Goods Received Notes, inventory management, and supplier coordination.
  • Excellent organisational, communication skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office; familiarity with stock management software is advantageous.
  • Dependable, proactive, and comfortable working under fast-paced construction conditions.
