Role Summary

The Driller position entails operating drilling machinery and managing daily drilling operations to ensure safety and operational efficiency. This full-time onsite role is based in Zone 86, Al Shahaniya, Qatar. Responsibilities involve monitoring drilling parameters, coordinating with rig personnel, executing drilling programs, performing equipment inspections, and maintaining communication with supervisors and technical teams.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate heavy drilling equipment and machinery safely and effectively.
• Supervise drilling procedures and ensure adherence to drilling plans.
• Perform routine inspections and monitor equipment performance to promptly identify issues.
• Maintain compliance with safety and environmental protocols and standards.
• Collaborate with rig crew members and technical staff to resolve drilling challenges.
• Document operational details and equipment usage accurately.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience in safely operating heavy drilling machinery and equipment.
• Practical knowledge of drilling operations, including well control and drilling program compliance.
• Familiarity with directional drilling techniques to support accurate wellbore placement.
• Competence in equipment inspection and monitoring to ensure operational reliability.
• Understanding of oil and gas field operations, safety regulations, and best practices.
• Vocational or technical certification in drilling, petroleum engineering, or a related discipline.
• Ability to work onsite in field conditions with rotating shift schedules and varying weather.
• Strong communication skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary rig team.
