About the Company
This role is with a privately-owned, Private Equity-backed manufacturing and distribution business specializing in steel fabrication, specialty welding, and engineer-to-order industrial products. Established for over 30 years, the company is recognized for delivering customized solutions that meet unique client needs. It offers comprehensive engineering services, installation, and a full-time technician service department supported by a design team.
Position Overview
- Lead all commercial growth initiatives by uncovering new market opportunities, refining pricing tactics, and promoting organic revenue expansion.
- Take full responsibility for Profit & Loss management, focusing on cash flow optimization, effective working capital management, and debt reduction.
- Oversee and direct supply chains to address challenges related to tariffs, cost control, and delivery speed.
- Develop, coach, and guide a high-performing leadership team to cultivate a culture anchored in accountability, collaboration, and equity, including succession planning and engagement with the Board of Directors.
Key Experience and Responsibilities
- Possess significant experience in related product manufacturing critical for supporting the company’s engineered sales approach and culture.
- Lead development and execution of go-to-market sales strategies, balancing company-driven sales with customer-driven engagements, and expanding into new regions.
Qualifications and Preferred Skills
- Extensive leadership experience in manufacturing environments and field service/project teams, demonstrating progressive growth and success.
- Leadership background as VP of Operations, COO, or CEO within manufacturing or field service organizations generating annual revenues between $30 million and $100 million.
- Previous exposure to mergers and acquisitions is preferred.
- Relevant educational background, professional certifications, and career milestones aligned with the position.
- Experience interacting and collaborating with Private Equity firms and Boards of Directors or equivalent governance bodies.
- Outstanding communication and relationship management skills.
- A strong dedication to serving employees, customers, and suppliers with passion and commitment.
- Military experience considered an advantage.
Compensation and Location
The compensation package includes a base salary ranging from $300,000 to $330,000 depending on experience, supplemented by a 20% to 30% annual bonus, culminating in an estimated total cash compensation of about $400,000 per year. Equity and vehicle plans are also part of the package. The role is based in Murfreesboro, NC onsite, with the possibility to reside in the Norfolk, VA area with a hybrid working arrangement.
