Role Overview
Visa is looking for a seasoned payments expert to join the CEMEA Government Solutions team as Director for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). This leadership role focuses on expanding our public sector footprint, deepening client relationships, and driving growth of Visa's government payment solutions within KSA.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement an enhanced public sector sales strategy tailored to KSA, including identifying priority clients and solution opportunities.
- Build and strengthen relationships with federal, state, and local government agencies in KSA.
- Engage with potential partners such as issuers, program managers, processors, and fintechs to reinforce Visa's government offerings in the region.
- Formulate and execute sales strategies and account plans to grow sales volume, increase market share, and boost visibility across product categories.
- Identify local use cases and functional requirements for government solutions to inform product roadmap development.
- Drive performance against KSA Government Solutions scorecard metrics and ensure alignment with country strategies through close collaboration with the KSA Country Manager.
- Produce comprehensive reports with KPIs and continuously track progress toward commercial goals to guarantee accountability.
- Coordinate with Visa’s Government Engagement team to align outreach strategies and educate decision-makers on Visa’s capabilities.
- Partner with marketing and communications teams to position Visa as a preferred payments partner for government entities in KSA.
- Support request for proposal (RFP) processes and oversee program execution and performance.
- Monitor market trends and proactively recommend innovative approaches to expand Visa’s government business.
- Identify and resolve complex challenges impacting government sales and business direction.
- Report regularly to the Head of Government Solutions GCC to ensure regional strategy alignment.
Working Arrangement
This position is based in Riyadh with a hybrid work schedule. Employees are expected to spend at least three days in the office weekly; specific days will be confirmed by the hiring manager.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience managing government, public sector, or state-owned enterprise sales, specifically within payments or financial services.
- Extensive network and strong understanding of the public administration and procurement landscape in KSA.
- Proven ability to navigate decision-making processes and engage government agencies effectively.
- Strong consultative sales and business development skills, capable of educating diverse stakeholders on Visa’s offerings and developing compelling business cases.
- Experience in lobbying and stakeholder engagement within the public sector.
- Excellent financial acumen with a results-focused approach to negotiations and relationship management.
- Skilled in preparing and presenting to senior executives.
- Demonstrated success implementing strategic initiatives with professionalism and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Fluent in written and verbal communication.
- Knowledge of public sector payment infrastructures is preferred.
- Strong collaboration and influencing skills to work across teams and deliver results.
