Business Analytics Analyst - Officer in Banking

About the Role

This role is part of the Business Execution team within the Banking IGS division based in Mumbai. The analyst will support Business Managers by performing detailed data analysis and aiding decision-making processes to enhance strategic planning. Responsibilities include analyzing internal business metrics such as client revenue, returns, backlog management, client engagement, exposure, risk capital, and conducting wallet analysis to support franchise initiatives and internal strategy development.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Business Managers in managing day-to-day operations of franchise units by providing analytical insights and research to support strategic decisions.
• Engage in planning, executing, and following up on franchise reviews, client planning, and project-specific activities.
• Collaborate with bankers, business managers, and product teams to communicate and analyze business metrics including client prioritization, coverage, revenue, and pipeline management.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on franchise performance focused on revenue, backlog, and calling intensity analyses, including budget reviews by client and product.
• Conduct detailed revenue analysis, investigate discrepancies in revenue recording, and coordinate corrective actions with relevant teams and partners.
• Analyze wallet data to monitor wallet ranking and market share; investigate and resolve inconsistencies with internal data systems.
• Generate various metric-based reports covering revenues, wallet data, outstanding and unused commitments, GAAP assets, return on risk capital, risk-weighted assets, and ROTCE to aid senior management.
• Enhance routine deliverables by adding insightful commentary and self-driven analysis.
• Support and guide junior team members, fostering a learning environment through knowledge sharing.
• Provide assistance to senior staff by leading and managing complex projects and team-based initiatives.

• Good understanding of financial concepts and terminology.
• Familiarity with Tableau, VBA Macros, and SQL is advantageous.
