Position Overview

The Bellman role at EDITION in Singapore involves warmly welcoming and escorting guests to their rooms, opening doors, and assisting visitors entering or leaving the property. The role requires informing guests about property amenities, operational hours, local attractions, and explaining room features such as the use of room keys, mini-bars, ice/vending areas, in-room safes, and valet laundry services.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport guest luggage between rooms and designated bell areas, assist with luggage storage and retrieval.
• Help guests entering and exiting vehicles and aid with handling their luggage during these times.
• Provide directions and organize transportation services like taxis, shuttle buses, or limousines upon request.
• Communicate parking procedures and maintain awareness of unauthorized individuals on the premises.
• Comply with company policies and report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management promptly.
• Maintain a professional appearance and confidentiality regarding proprietary information.
• Engage and assist all guests, including those with disabilities, anticipating their service needs, and expressing sincere thanks upon departure.
• Use clear and professional communication when interacting with guests and colleagues, including telephone etiquette.
• Work collaboratively and meet quality assurance standards.
• Physically capable of standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods; lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds independently and heavier items with assistance; navigate uneven or slippery surfaces and stairs.
• Perform other reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Preferences

• Minimum education requirement is a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• No prior work or supervisory experience required.
• No special licenses or certifications necessary.
