Bar Supervisor

Overview

Diamond Coast Hotel, situated in the scenic location of Enniscrone, County Sligo, is seeking a Bar Supervisor to lead and support its bar team. The role involves ensuring outstanding customer service, maintaining operational standards, and assisting management in daily bar functions.

About the Hotel

The Diamond Coast Hotel offers luxurious accommodation with 99 well-appointed rooms boasting views of Enniscrone Golf Course and nearby natural dunes. The hotel features The Coral Restaurant, a banquet suite seating up to 400 guests, and additional dining facilities such as Stir Bistro. It is managed by Windward Management, a prominent hospitality management company with a portfolio of approximately 2,200 keys across Ireland and Europe.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and assist bar staff throughout their shifts to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and promptly resolve customer complaints.
• Provide training and development support for new and existing team members.
• Monitor inventory and communicate stock shortages; support stock ordering and control with the manager.
• Uphold hygiene, cleanliness, and cash handling protocols within the bar area.
• Delegate duties effectively and ensure adherence to company policies.
• Report operational issues or concerns to management as required.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a similar supervisory role within the hospitality industry.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to manage teams and customer interactions.
• Ability to perform reliably under pressure, especially during busy periods.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities and teamwork spirit.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
