Role overview
This position provides senior-level administrative partnership to the Chief Merchandising Officer and the VP of Merchandising for Apparel & Footwear. The role is centered on helping the leaders stay focused on top business priorities by organizing schedules, communications, meetings, travel, and project follow-through, while also smoothing out day-to-day operational hurdles.
Key responsibilities
- Act as a primary liaison for internal teams and outside contacts on executive-related matters.
- Own and optimize the executive calendar so commitments align with business priorities.
- Screen and route requests to protect executive time and keep communication moving efficiently.
- Write, refine, and polish emails, presentations, and reports in a voice that matches the executive’s style.
- Arrange travel, meetings, and events, including logistics, preparation materials, and post-meeting follow-up.
- Assist with initiatives and projects by monitoring timelines, researching topics, and keeping essential information organized.
- Work with HR and other functional partners on activities such as performance cycles, employee engagement surveys, and headcount tracking.
- Handle budget-adjacent administrative tasks such as expenses, invoices, and forecasting support.
- Attend meetings on the executive’s behalf when required and ensure actions are captured and completed.
- Safeguard confidential and sensitive information at all times.
- Offer perspective, context, and recommendations to help inform decisions.
Required experience and qualifications
- At least 7 years of administrative experience, including supporting senior executives or leadership.
- Strong planning, prioritization, and time management abilities with comfort handling several competing demands.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Capacity to work both independently and with cross-functional teams while adapting to shifting priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and a consistent ability to meet deadlines.
- Hands-on experience managing calendars, travel arrangements, expenses, and confidential correspondence.
Preferred qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, or a related area is preferred.
- Experience using AI-supported productivity tools, such as Microsoft 365 Copilot, to improve efficiency and output quality.
Pay and benefits
The posted annual pay range for this role is $74,400 to $119,100. Regular employees are also eligible for an employee discount, health coverage, a retirement savings plan, and accrued time off.
