About the Role
Become an integral part of the production team at Yeo Valley Organic's Cannington site, where you will be pivotal in preparing and packing high-quality dairy products. Your responsibilities include operating mixing machinery, ensuring adherence to hygiene and quality standards, and supporting timely supply throughout production stages.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and upkeep milk mixing equipment and related machinery.
- Accurately implement mixing formulas and adhere to production timelines.
- Perform regular quality inspections and maintain detailed batch documentation.
- Work closely with production and quality assurance teams to guarantee product consistency and compliance.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety within the plant environment.
- Contribute to inventory management, stock rotation, and general production support.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Effective teamwork capabilities.
- Physically capable of performing manual tasks.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- Previous experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing setting is essential.
Preferred Additional Skills
- Basic knowledge of food hygiene practices.
- Understanding of HACCP principles.
- Engineering skills are an advantage.
Working Conditions
The position operates on a rotational schedule of four days on followed by four days off, with shifts covering 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
