Role Overview
This position drives the expansion of Schneider Electric's software and digital solutions portfolio across India, encompassing Energy, Industrial, and Building sectors. It requires leading consultative, multi-stakeholder sales processes that position software as a catalyst for digital transformation, operational excellence, and sustainability achievements.
Key Software Domains
- Energy: PME, EPO, ETAP Real-Time, Substation Automation (EPAS)
- Industrial Software: AVEVA Plant SCADA, AVEVA System Platform, AVEVA MES, AVEVA Unified Operations Center, EcoStruxure Process Expert, EcoStruxure Automation Expert
- Building Management Systems
Core Responsibilities
- Drive comprehensive software sales cycles from initial opportunity generation to deal closure across designated territories and accounts.
- Construct and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified prospects ensuring targets for orders and sales growth are met.
- Lead intricate multi-stakeholder negotiations involving Customers, Consultants, Contractors, EcoXpert Partners, and System Integrators.
- Comprehend customer business challenges and present software-centric solutions such as digital twin, analytics, and automation as business enablers.
- Champion solution design, technical validation, and clear articulation of value proposition.
- Collaborate closely with Regional/Branch Sales, Prescription & Business Division teams for product demonstrations, technical proposals, and system architecture.
- Develop and implement account-specific plans to bolster software adoption and growth.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with CXOs, IT/OT leaders, plant management, and engineering teams.
- Identify new expansion opportunities within existing and prospective client bases.
- Engage actively with System Integrators, EcoXpert partners, Consultants, and other channel collaborators to execute strategies and generate new business.
- Work alongside internal teams including sales, solution architects, marketing professionals to craft proposals that win business.
- Monitor market developments, analyze competitor positioning, and adapt to evolving customer requirements.
Preferred Areas of Expertise
- Power systems, utilities, or substation automation
- Industrial automation, SCADA, or EcoStruxure Automation Expert (EAE)
- Smart building technologies, Building Management Systems (BMS), energy efficiency
- Digital transformation and IT-OT convergence
Qualification & Experience
- Engineering degree is mandatory.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software sales, industrial automation, or digital solutions within related industries.
- Proven background in enterprise or consultative sales methodology.
- Ability to manage complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders effectively.
- Good grasp of industrial and energy sectors including customer operations.
- Experience collaborating with partners in ecosystem-based sales environments.

- Strong capability to engage senior executives including CXO level and IT/OT leaders.
