Senior IT System Specialist

Role Overview

This position calls for an experienced IT professional to support the design, development, integration, and operational use of asset management and web-based systems. The role also involves working with management information systems, implementation support, training, and project coordination.

Key Experience and Profile

• A graduate in Computer Science or IT is required. Candidates with an engineering degree plus a Master’s in Computer Applications are also suitable. Specialization in IT system development or application work is preferred.
• About 10 years of professional experience is expected, with at least 5 years focused on system architecture design and development for Asset Management Systems or web programming.
• The background should include data integration with application platforms such as GIS, RIS, PMS, and related software tools.
• Hands-on experience in implementation support, end-user training, and project management systems is needed, including use of GIS/MIS in management-related functions.
• At least 5 years in a comparable role, such as Senior Software Engineer or Group Leader, is required, especially in building or applying IT and soft-computing solutions or in customizing commercial off-the-shelf software for Asset Management Systems.
• The role requires strong capability in data analysis, linking sub-module systems, risk management, database handling, troubleshooting, software debugging, and report preparation.
• The candidate should be well-versed in using IT and Management Information Systems, including the integration of AMS tools for web-based applications and ensuring compatibility with e-Governance programs run by State or Central Government bodies.
• Experience in capacity building and training initiatives is also needed.
