What you will do

  • Set the curatorial approach and plan exhibitions for the SIA Gallery.
  • Blend historical research with high-quality narratives that present Singapore Airlines’ heritage, achievements, and brand story in a way that connects with varied audiences.
  • Create storytelling concepts and audio-visual guides that engage employees, customers, industry partners, community members, and youth.
  • Review, organise, evaluate, and catalogue artefacts and records that document the company’s history and milestones.
  • Develop the collection in a purposeful way by choosing and linking objects that open up meaningful storytelling opportunities and reflect company developments.
  • Use preservation and conservation methods to safeguard physical and digital materials while maintaining authenticity and long-term access.
  • Lead archive outreach initiatives such as awareness programmes, educational activities, and engagement projects that encourage participation and partnerships.
  • Build and maintain archival policies and procedures based on industry standards and best practices, and ensure strong governance, accountability, and long-term integrity of the archives.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Archival Science, History, Museum Studies, Curatorial Practices, or a closely related discipline is required.
  • At least 10 years of experience in curatorial work and/or archival management, with solid knowledge of relevant standards and practices.
  • Strong ability to analyse, organise, evaluate, and prioritise materials according to their institutional importance.
  • Hands-on experience with physical and digital preservation, as well as asset management systems.
  • Background in project management, with evidence of recent curation and/or exhibition work through a portfolio.
  • Excellent business writing, analytical, and presentation skills for working with stakeholders and varied audiences.
  • Comfortable collaborating across teams and coordinating with internal business units on curation-related work.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to assess situations and recommend practical solutions independently.
  • Good understanding of archival methods, theories, and standards.
