Working Hours
The role requires working from Monday to Friday, starting at 7:30 AM and ending at 3:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of food laboratory equipment, including table tops, floors, and sinks on a daily basis.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of laboratory tools, utensils, and appliances to ensure readiness for use.
- Manage food inventory stored in fridges and other storage areas, alerting the coordinator when supplies run low.
- Prepare raw ingredients needed for classes by performing tasks such as cutting and portioning.
- Ensure that all culinary utensils and cookware are properly organized and accounted for at all times.
- Maintain safety signage and informational posters within the laboratory environment.
- Assist with periodic stock-taking activities involving equipment and utensils on a term basis.
- Label and perform cleaning duties for tabletops, shelves, and equipment bi-annually.
- Carry out termly inspections focused on perishable food items.
- Provide support during afternoon cooking sessions and food lab activities conducted within schools.
Requirements
- Holder of fundamental certifications in food preparation and food safety.
- A minimum of two years' professional experience in a related field.
