Job description
Job Overview
Join our team as a Sanitation Technician performing thorough cleaning and sanitation tasks across production and non-production zones to uphold facility standards. This role supports room and batch changeovers, records sanitation procedures, and ensures adherence to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to SOPs and actively recommend enhancements to cleaning and sanitation methods.
- Collaborate with department leads for effective scheduling of room and batch transitions, as well as cleaning activities.
- Execute routine cleaning including waste removal and sanitation of floors, door handles, and other touchpoints.
- Clean grow rooms and post-harvest areas before, during, and after production cycles.
- Handle destruction of cannabis waste materials in compliance with regulations.
- Manage organization of clean and soiled equipment and supplies.
- Operate industrial equipment such as dishwashers, pressure washers, and foggers.
- Maintain electronic records of all sanitation operations.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance for ATP swab testing to verify sanitation effectiveness.
- Maintain cleanliness in non-production spaces including lunchrooms, offices, restrooms, entrances, and locker rooms.
- Operate washing and drying machines for handling production uniforms.
- Ensure exterior grounds inside and outside the fenced facility are free from litter.
- Assist with operational tasks, including trimming, packaging, and plant upkeep as needed.
- Perform other related duties assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
- Prior sanitation experience is advantageous.
- Experience in manufacturing settings is highly preferred.
- Prior experience within the cannabis sector is beneficial.
- Ability to independently manage tasks and collaborate effectively with teams.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Physical ability to stand or sit for long durations.
- Capable of lifting weights up to 25 kg.
- Willingness to work overtime during high-demand periods to meet deadlines.
