Overview
This opportunity involves a 3-month contract as a Receptionist located in downtown NW Portland, OR, supporting a well-established dairy cooperative. The role is onsite with working hours from 8 AM to 5 PM. The position calls for an individual who excels at creating a welcoming environment, staying organized, and effectively managing front desk operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet visitors, clients, and guests, ensuring a professional and friendly first impression.
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct them appropriately while taking accurate messages when necessary.
- Manage visitor sign-in protocols and promptly notify employees of guest arrivals.
- Maintain an orderly, clean, and professional reception and front office area.
- Receive, sort, and distribute all incoming mail, packages, and deliveries efficiently.
- Coordinate outgoing mail and courier services to ensure timely dispatch.
- Assist in booking conference rooms and preparing meeting spaces.
- Monitor and restock office and breakroom supplies as required.
- Perform administrative duties such as filing, scanning, copying, and entering data.
- Respond to general queries from employees, visitors, and vendors with professionalism.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of one year experience in reception or administrative support roles.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized, proactive, professional, and service-oriented approach.
Compensation and Benefits
The position offers an hourly pay rate between $25 and $28. Temporary benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plans.
