About the Role

Join our team at New Victoria Hospital, Kingston upon Thames, where we are dedicated to providing exemplary diagnostic imaging services that contribute to superior patient outcomes. As an MRI Radiographer, you will be an essential member of a multidisciplinary team offering a broad spectrum of imaging modalities such as X-Ray, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, Mammography, CT, MRI, and Mobile Imaging. Your role centers on delivering precise and high-quality imaging while upholding patient safety, comfort, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct diagnostic imaging examinations using MRI in line with departmental protocols and professional standards.
  • Uphold exceptional patient care by ensuring safety, comfort, and respect during all imaging procedures.
  • Operate across various imaging platforms including General Radiography, Fluoroscopy, Mobile Imaging, and Theatre Radiography.
  • Adapt flexibly to meet the evolving needs of the imaging service.
  • Participate actively in the on-call rotation to deliver continuous patient services.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) standards and related departmental and regulatory policies.
  • Engage in quality assurance and support ongoing service improvement efforts.
  • Promote safety culture through proactive incident reporting and risk management, including infection control measures.
  • Foster robust collaborative relationships within the hospital to enhance imaging service efficiency.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records and pursue continuous professional development.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Radiography or an equivalent relevant qualification.
  • Current registration with the HCPC is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
  • Essential certification in Cannulation.
  • Proven competency in MRI imaging; experience with Philips MRI systems is advantageous.
  • General X-ray experience is desirable.
