About the Role
Join New Victoria Hospital, Kingston upon Thames, as an MRI Radiographer in a full-time, permanent position. Work 37.5 hours weekly across Monday to Saturday shifts, delivering exceptional diagnostic imaging services that contribute to excellent patient care and outcomes. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team offering a variety of imaging modalities including X-Ray, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, Mammography, CT, MRI, and Mobile Imaging in a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct high-standard diagnostic imaging exams following departmental protocols and professional guidelines.
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and dignity during the imaging process.
- Operate across multiple imaging modalities beyond MRI, such as General Radiography, Fluoroscopy, Mobile Imaging, and Theatre Radiography.
- Provide flexible support to meet changing service demands.
- Participate in the on-call rota when required.
- Maintain adherence to HCPC standards, departmental policies, and relevant regulations.
- Engage in quality assurance and continuous improvement activities within the imaging service.
- Promote patient and staff safety through incident reporting, risk management, and infection control measures.
- Develop and sustain effective working relationships with colleagues and hospital stakeholders.
- Keep precise records and actively pursue continued professional development.
Qualifications and Experience
- BSc degree in Radiography or equivalent qualification is required.
- Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) is mandatory.
- Ongoing evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Cannulation certification is essential.
- MRI qualification is mandatory.
- X-ray General Radiography qualification is desirable.
- Experience with Philips MRI systems is a plus.
