Job Overview
The Purchasing Executive position at Fairmont Agra is responsible for handling all procurement processes to ensure the availability of quality materials and supplies at competitive prices. This role covers sourcing for food and beverages, operating equipment, guest amenities, engineering materials, and other hotel needs while adhering to budget and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily purchasing activities in line with hotel operational demands.
- Identify, assess, and negotiate with vendors to secure cost-effective, high-quality goods.
- Build and maintain effective partnerships with authorized suppliers.
- Gather quotations, conduct price comparisons, and provide procurement recommendations.
- Ensure purchases comply with hotel standards, specifications, and approved supplier lists.
- Oversee supplier performance, monitor delivery timelines, and assure product quality.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Have a minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in hotel procurement or supply chain functions.
- Familiarity with hotel purchasing protocols, vendor oversight, and cost management techniques.
- Experience sourcing food and beverage items, housekeeping provisions, engineering materials, and operational equipment highly preferred.
- Demonstrated negotiation prowess and excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and procurement software applications.
