Role Overview
As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll operations. You will maintain payroll-relevant data accuracy, guarantee punctual payroll execution, and act as the key contact for employees and both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage monthly payroll including preparation, processing, and maintenance of payroll data within SAP and DATEV systems
- Review and amend payroll-relevant data and generate accounting documents and analyses
- Handle payroll tax and social security matters and liaise with health insurance funds, authorities, and other institutions
- Prepare certificates, reports, and respond to external inquiries such as from the Federal Statistical Office
- Assist with monthly and annual financial closings as well as internal and external audits
- Serve as a contact point for payroll-related employee inquiries and manage HR and payroll mailboxes
- Maintain and correct data in SAP and ATOSS systems, including overtime and time tracking issues
Required Qualifications
- Proven solid experience in payroll processing
- Excellent knowledge of payroll tax and social security regulations
- Proficiency with DATEV and ideally experience with SAP and ATOSS
- Methodical, meticulous, and responsible working style
- Strong team skills, and high service and communication orientation
