Job Overview
KPMG's Finance division is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join the expanding Payroll team based in Melbourne, Australia. This full-time role focuses on delivering end-to-end payroll processing services nationwide, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage weekly and monthly payroll processing for Australian employees accurately and on schedule.
- Assist Payroll Manager with adherence to payroll statutory obligations and regulatory reporting.
- Handle payroll-related third-party payments such as superannuation contributions, PAYG, and payroll tax.
- Foster strong collaborative relationships with Finance and People & Inclusion departments.
Candidate Profile
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation with a proactive approach to cross-functional collaboration.
- Solid understanding of payroll operations, people analytics, payroll procedures, and time/attendance systems is beneficial.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and capability to meet deadlines under pressure.
Experience and Skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of Australian payroll regulations and practices.
- Experience managing payroll administration within large organizations.
- Exceptional communication skills across all organizational levels.
- High attention to detail with fast and accurate data entry skills.
- Familiarity with major payroll systems, including SAP, is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines.
