Position Overview

This part-time role focuses on managing precise, timely, and compliant payroll services across several clients. Ideal candidates have existing payroll knowledge and the ability to handle deadlines and multiple systems with minimal supervision.

Key Duties

  • Accurately process payrolls for assigned clients following diverse schedules and workflows.
  • Verify timecards, payroll adjustments, deductions, reimbursements, final payments, and other payroll elements for correctness and completeness.
  • Perform payroll report reconciliations, detect irregularities, and escalate compliance or discrepancy issues.
  • Ensure adherence to California payroll regulations, including overtime, wage statements, sick leave, meal and rest breaks, and final payout timing.

  • Address routine payroll inquiries, investigate concerns, document solutions, and safeguard confidential data.

Work Environment & Requirements

  • Preferred working hours Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Pacific Time, with flexible scheduling based on client demands.
  • Fully remote, requiring applicants to live in AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, MT, NC, NV, or TN.
  • Must have a private, distraction-free workspace enabling confidential discussions and efficient remote performance.
  • Reliable internet connectivity is essential; an internet stipend is provided.
  • Role entails routine reading, communication, calculations, prolonged sitting/typing, and repetitive hand/arm movements.
