Job description
Role Overview
An established organisation seeks a skilled Payroll Officer to join their payroll team on a temporary 12-month contract. This role requires someone who can swiftly manage routine payroll operations and foster a cooperative team environment.
Key Duties
- Handle end-to-end processing of day-to-day payroll activities.
- Apply and interpret SCHADS Award regulations within payroll processes.
- Manage payroll for new hires, terminations, and adjustments.
- Oversee leave administration, superannuation contributions, and reconcile payroll accounts.
- Address payroll-related inquiries from employees and managers.
- Maintain accuracy and compliance in payroll data consistent with relevant legislation.
- Support the payroll team during peak processing periods.
Candidate Profile
- Proven payroll officer experience in medium to large organisational settings.
- Competent in interpreting and administering payroll under the SCHADS Award.
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll laws and compliance standards.
- Exceptional attention to detail paired with strong organisational capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage stakeholders effectively.
- Ready to start immediately.
