Role Overview
This position supports the efficient, safe, secure, and environmentally responsible running of assigned marina facilities. The role focuses on applying strong operational standards, well-defined procedures, and continual process improvement across day-to-day marina activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee marina management activities and provide direct supervision where needed.
- Prepare budget estimates and monitor progress, costs, and operational performance.
- Handle permit and licensing needs, and support contractor selection for facility maintenance and operations.
- Apply quality control measures and LEAN-based practices to improve consistency, efficiency, and overall marina performance in line with the wider marina management strategy.
- Coordinate marina services, including operating systems, maintenance workflows, repairs, upgrades, custodial work, and security functions.
- Work with internal teams to schedule and coordinate maintenance so that staff and equipment are used effectively.
- Recommend better operating approaches, equipment, and methods that can reduce costs while improving service quality, safety, and efficiency.
- Support the creation of contract scopes and technical specifications.
- Administer facility service agreements related to maintenance activities.
- Ensure the marina remains clean, orderly, and in line with standards through site-based audits and follow-up actions.
People Management
- Carry out regular performance reviews, share actionable feedback, and support individual development goals.
- Promote teamwork and collaboration across the team to strengthen overall output.
- Balance workloads appropriately to help prevent burnout and maintain productivity.
Stakeholder and Tenant Coordination
- Liaise with government authorities and strategic partners as required.
- Follow up on projects in the Al Dhafra region.
- Handle customer complaints and work toward practical resolutions.
- Contribute ideas and actions that help address operational challenges and improve outcomes.
- Support marketing initiatives aimed at attracting new tenants.
- Work to maintain high customer satisfaction levels.
- Track and follow up on contract renewals.
- Keep regular communication with tenants to understand and meet their needs.
- Plan tenant appreciation and community-building activities at the marina.
- Monitor lease expiry timelines and manage renewals to support tenant retention.
- Maintain accurate leasing documentation, including agreements, occupancy reports, and customer communication records.
- Assist with marina software used for bookings, billing, and leasing.
- Prepare regular updates for the Marina Manager on occupancy, leasing activity, and marketing efforts.
- Ensure tenants comply with marina rules and regulations.
- Work closely with the marina operations team to keep the site safe and clean.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
