About the Role
The role of a Management Information System (MIS) Executive encompasses compiling, scrutinizing, maintaining, and showcasing business data to aid management in strategic decision-making. This involves generating comprehensive reports, managing data repositories, ensuring data precision, and collaborating with various departments to produce timely management information system reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports.
- Gather, verify, and examine data from multiple organizational units.
- Regularly update and sustain databases with precise data.
- Develop dashboards and reports leveraging Microsoft Excel and other analytic tools.
- Produce reports related to sales, inventory, production, and finance as needed.
- Conduct data analysis to detect trends and insights that benefit business decisions.
- Maintain data integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality at all times.
- Automate standard reporting tasks using advanced Excel capabilities including formulas, Pivot Tables, Power Query, and Macros where applicable.
- Coordinate with internal teams to collect and validate requisite information.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and supply actionable analysis to management.
- Address and resolve data inconsistencies and prepare specialized reports on demand.
Required Skills and Experience
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; adept with functions such as VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, Pivot Tables, Charts, Conditional Formatting, and Power Query.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite including Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience or familiarity with ERP software like SAP, Oracle, Tally, or others is beneficial.
- Basic knowledge of SQL queries, plus dashboard tools like Power BI or Tableau is desirable.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capacity.
- Excellent attention to detail ensuring high accuracy levels.
- Effective communication and coordination abilities.
- Capability to meet deadlines and efficiently handle pressure.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Computer Applications, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
Candidates should have 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in MIS reporting or data analysis. Exceptional freshers with strong Excel skills are also encouraged to apply.

- Prior experience generating sales, inventory, finance, or operations MIS reports.
- Expertise in designing dashboards and automating reports.
