This opportunity is based at the L&T Head Office in Andheri East, Mumbai.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead and independently manage mergers, acquisitions, and divestment projects, collaborating with internal teams to evaluate and prioritize transactions aligned with corporate strategy and objectives.
- Negotiate and draft key transaction documents such as Share Purchase Agreements, Share Subscription Agreements, Binding Term Sheets, and other related contracts.
- Conduct timely and impartial financial and commercial evaluations for potential transactions, including structuring options for acquisitions, disposals, and corporate restructuring.
- Oversee all phases of transaction execution including project management, due diligence, and valuation, coordinating with business units, legal, accounting, tax specialists, and external advisors.
- Support diligence processes by analyzing data to provide recommendations that enhance transaction success.
- Assist with post-acquisition integration by ensuring cross-functional teams successfully implement M&A integration plans.
- Maintain effective coordination with key internal stakeholders such as the CEO, CFO, and CXOs.
- Take ownership of developing financial projections for M&A opportunities, perform detailed financial and valuation analyses, create comprehensive pro forma financial models, and develop synergy estimates.
- Prepare, review, and present high-quality presentations and reports for business unit leaders and senior executives.
- Manage deliverables within tight schedules and handle periods of peak workload efficiently.
- Provide supervision and mentorship to junior team members and ensure upward reporting is accurate and timely.
- Guarantee accuracy and robustness in financial models and presentations.
- Ensure that ongoing projects are managed effectively, delegating and reviewing tasks as needed.
