Role Overview
ALS Geochemistry is looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join its Logistics team in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. This is a full-time onsite position working Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. The role spans both the operational site and off-site storage facilities, including moving samples between locations. The position reports to the Section Supervisor, Logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the company heavy rigid (HR) truck for site logistics tasks.
- Oversee and maintain a storage facility.
- Handle the return and disposal of samples in line with client requirements and agreements.
- Keep sample location records updated in the GMS system.
- Use a forklift to unload and load trucks, move bulk materials, and place pallets into racking.
Work Environment
This job involves activity across multiple locations and requires coordination in a fast-moving, client-oriented setting. Flexibility is important, as the work may need cross-training and adjustments to cover changing workflow demands or staff absences.
Compensation
The position offers a base hourly rate of $50 per hour, plus superannuation.
Requirements
- A current HR licence.
- Warehouse experience is preferred.
- Comfort working in a high-volume, customer-focused environment.
- A constructive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong collaboration skills.
- Careful attention to detail along with solid organization and time management abilities.
- Capability to work independently as well as within a team.
- Willingness to cross-train and adapt to changing priorities and staffing needs.
