Local Business Banker - Launceston

Overview

Westpac is seeking a Local Business Banker based in Launceston, Tasmania, to develop and nurture outstanding relationships with Small Business clients. This role involves working closely with referral partners and various banking channels, with a focus on Home Lending and Business Lending to assist customers across diverse markets. The position is branch-based with opportunities to expand the customer base through both internal and external referral networks.

Responsibilities

• Build and sustain strong relationships with small business customers.
• Collaborate with referral partners and various banking channels to generate business opportunities.
• Operate flexibly and proactively to ensure the highest customer service standards.
• Engage in both internal and external networks to grow the customer base effectively.
• Participate in Westpac’s Role Ready program designed to accelerate onboarding and capability development.

Requirements

• Experience in Small Business and Home Lending sectors.
• Demonstrated success in acquiring new business within financial services and local markets.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with enthusiasm for networking and meeting new clients.
• Proven ability to exceed customer expectations through delivering exceptional results.
• Strong business insight, capable of presenting information clearly, with excellent organizational and independent workload management skills, especially while mobile.
